Fire standpipe is basically a fire hydrant inside a building. Firefighters connect hoses to the standpipe to access water used to fight a building fire. Standpipes connect to a building's main water supply through a series of smaller pipes.
It is a simple outdoor fire hydrant to used with underground fire hydrant.
A single standpipe made from quality aluminium alloy, it also features a standard UK 2.5" female BSRT inlet and female outlet, and will fit standard hoses used by the fire services. The double-headed version has with a blanking plug to allow it to operate as a single head if required, while the option for a check valve ensures water flows in the right direction.
